I figured I should blog about Kim's family visit the second weekend in October before our new little lady came into the world. I put the pictures up early last week but then never got around to actually posting them. Then I started having contratctions last Thursday night and got excited that things would finally get going but then they stopped and nothing much has been happening since. I keep holding out hope but I figured I should finally post these pictures now that I still have some time on my hands.
So Kim and family, plus my mom, showed up on Thursday night, October 6th for their fall break. We were all very excited to have lots of family and cousins here to play with and the weather was absolutely beautiful, which made it even more exciting.
Friday morning we headed outside to explore some of the woods and metroparks near our home.

Joshua posing with a snake that was making the rounds.
Nathan, Joshua and Pepper checking out the birds and chipmunks.
Taking a break for a picnic lunch on one of the decks around the Nature Realm.
Morgan and Mikayla enjoying the sunshine.
Uncle Mike supervising Pepper, Joshua and Ben.
Nathan and I taking it easy.
Pepper sucking someone else's drink dry.
Kim and Jacob enjoying the beautiful fall colors.

Gramma Goodier enjoying having her family together in nature.
A "cousins on the rock" picture. Nice of Morgan to pose and completely block Pepper out of the picture.
After lunch, we took a nice stroll around the herb gardens and then Pepper and I went home to take naps. At 37 weeks I only had so much energy to walk around.
The rest of the group decided to hike around the trails and of course Jacob needed to climb some rocks.
Kim, Mike and the hiking crew.

Nathan, Joshua and Jacob showing off the pretty lake.
Mikayla doesn't look that excited to still be in the woods.
And Jacob in a tree.
That night Cody and Mike took the three older boys out to a Lake Erie Monsters hockey game. They gave out poster boards at the game to the kids so they could make their own signs. They also got $1 hot dogs and sodas, their hair spray painted and a shot on the jumbotron dancing.

Looks like a lot of fun. For some reason, I didn't realize Mike was there, too. You look so great, Beth! I am proud of you getting out so close to the end and knowing how uncomfortable you are - hang in there!
Fun stuff. Hopefully you guys will be able to come for Christmas and we can see you at Kim's. Keep me posted on the baby!
