Random November

Here's our random activities from the month of November.

Some shots from our quiet Sunday evening.
I realized I never took any photos of potty training Hazel back in August. So here she is sitting on her "baby potty."
I thought Pepper looked so pretty with her hair bow that I asked her to take some pictures. Such a pretty young lady we have!

Some afternoon when I was watching Ammon, Eli and Emma Griesmyer.
Taking a selfie with Truly...
...and someone snuck her adorable little toes in the picture.
I love baby toes!
Love watching Cody spend quality time just hanging out with the kids.
While I read!

Took Hazel to the mall to get the wiggles out.

Lunchtime princess playdate with Emma.

This girl cracks me up most of the time.

Play dates at Sarah's house is taken very seriously.
Lunch date at Sams Club was greatly enjoyed.

"Dinner of chicken nuggets and popcorn, while watching 'Ernest Goes to Camp.' That's right, I'm rockin this mom thing!" How I stayed sane while Cody was out of town.
"Pepper helped me do some Christmas shopping this morning and insisted on a picture with 'that group of people.' Ha!"
This was the morning of getting the Christmas Eve pajamas for all the nieces and nephews from my side of the family. One of my favorite yearly shopping trips.
Morgan's crafts from the primary Thanksgiving activity.
Pepper's crafts.

"Sundays equal never-leave-daddy-alone day!"

I love it when baby's tuck their toes into the edge of the tray. Teehee

Target lunch while shopping.
Start of pie making season!

Now on to December!

Thanksgiving Extravaganza Part 2

Saturday morning, Khan and family headed back home after breakfast. We wanted to get the kids out of the house but do something everyone would enjoy. We decided to go downtown Akron to Lock 3 and go sledding and ice skating. Cody and I had never gone down for this but Lock 3 is where the Fun Run ends, so we knew the area. It was pretty chilly, especially for the Alabama crew but we all survived and had a great time.
Not enough snow was no problem for this inner-city fun.

It was a beautiful afternoon in downtown Akron.
Nathan showing everyone how it's done.

Morgan and Mikayla making themselves for aerodynamic for speed.
Cody and Hazel getting ready to go.

Pure joy!
Pepper's turn.

Pepper and Ben going down, while Morgan hauls his sled back up.

Hazel loved going down but was not the biggest help getting the sled back up!

Morgan takes after his Papa Goodier in more than just looks. My dad does the same thing with his tongue when he's concentrating.

Truly spent most of our outing napping and bundled up. She had a great time.

This is what I got when I asked her to show me her ice skates. This girl!

Cousin Nathan being a very good sport and helping Pepper around the rink.

Morgan making his way slowly around the outside the rink with Benjamin trailing him.

Time for Hazel and Cody to try it out.
This time Cousin Jacob came to the rescue.

Truly and I cheering everyone on.
Pepper explaining how hard it is to ice skate for the very first time.

Cody getting his sea legs back.
I think he looks pretty cute in this picture!

Now time to attempt a group shot.

Almost there...
About as good as it's going to get!

And their off again!

Sledding and ice skating is hard work. It's important to keep up your strength.
Here are some Instagram closeups of some of the shots.

After all the little ones were in bed, this is how we spent our Friday night, until we managed to get everyone off their devices and play Clue!
Lots of kids kept asking Nathan if he was a professional and the girls were starting to swarm. I have some very handsome nephews!
Sunday morning, Kim and family left before church. After church, we put the house back in order and by dinnertime were too exhausted to do anything else. So, we headed to Chilis for dinner (our energy ox was in the mire.)
Perfectly happy way to finish off our amazing Thanksgiving weekend. We LOVED having our family come to stay with us and share that time together. During the weekend I had a few moments of just pure happiness and felt very blessed and grateful for all the Lord has given to us!

Here are two videos from our fun day:
