Random January

Here is the random events/pictures I took with my iPhone from January.
Pepper had a "Wacky Wednesday" at preschool. This is the outfit she came up with.

Two crazy sisters just hanging out in matching crazy pants.

Hazel trying to walk around in my rain boots. This picture cracked me up because she looks like Dorf.
Just hanging out together on a Sunday night waiting for dinner.

On one of our many holidays from school, I took the kids to Amazone play place to run off some energy. We met up with Morgan's friend, Sarah and her mom.

Hazel had a hard time because she's just a little too small for the big indoor play place yet but eventually she had a good time.
Morgan and Sarah pretending to be trapped.
Trying to capture a moment of Pepper playing with her little dolls. She loves to play by herself during quiet time. She does the best voices and makes up songs. But if she catches me watching or trying to record her, Pepper gets all shy and stops. I love these moments!!!
The girls trying to patiently wait for our homemade pizzas to cook.
Dancing, singing and playing with Bekah.
When princesses attack!
Pepper snuggling baby Samuel.
Morgan celebrating his 7th birthday.
Snuggles with my birthday boy.
23 week baby bump picture.
Pepper was helping.
I was reminiscing about my baby boy on his birthday and I came across this picture.
One of my favorite moments captured for all time!!!

Morgan's 7th Birthday Bash

On Friday, January 31st, we had Morgan's birthday party at the Stonehedge Bowling Alley. We were lucky enough to find a Groupon coupon that made it a very inexpensive party for us. Score!
Morgan picked out this zebra stripe cake mix at the store. I was a little skeptical at first that I could do it but it worked out really well and was actually really easy to do.

I should have divided it into two pans but it all worked out in the end, thanks to frosting!
I am not an expert cake decorator by any stretch but luckily I have been given some good tools by my mom so that I can at least pretend I know what I'm doing. Morgan wanted blue and green frosting and this is what I came up with at the last  minute.

Getting the games started. We had six little kids and one extra little brother.
For having only bowled a couple times, I was really impressed with how well Morgan did. He is a strong guy and tried really hard.

Vincenzo giving it a go.
Cheering on the little brother.
Morgan and Sarah keeping score.
Gabriel giving it a go.
Sarah's good form.
Morgan's classmate, Evan.

Cake time.

Party people!
Everyone singing to Morgan:

My big, handsome boy!
Trying to keep everyone from tearing into the presents was a struggle but I love the enthusiasm.

We love Sarah!

Evan, his little brother, Connor and photo-bomb by Vincenzo.
Ammon and Gabriel Griesmyer gave Morgan the new lightsaber he wanted and an invite to join them to go to dinner and the Lego Movie. Poor Evan is having a meltdown in the background.
A horrible shot of the inside of the zebra stripe cake.
After bowling, pizza, and cake, we headed over to the arcade for some more fun.
After the fun party, we headed home. Morgan got to invite one friend for a sleepover and he picked Sarah. She is the easiest child so that was fun for everyone and we had a great time Saturday morning building Morgan's new Lego, hero factory kits and playing Star Wars.
