Ramseyer Farms with Griesmyers

Later on the 18th, after ballet class for Pepper, we joined up with the Griesmyer family and went to Ramseyer Farms for their Fall Festival. It was one of the first really cold days and we were a little under-prepared. Luckily the kids didn't really mind the cold and we had enough car blankets to keep the babies warm.
I think Hazel really liked her face painting because she got really happy about it. (Morgan is dictating these captions.)

Hazel and Emma loved it a lot.
I think Eli had a little too much fun coming down the corn slide.
Morgan said, "Oh, yeah!"

I wonder what that is.
(The kids loved the big, new corn box play area. We found pieces of corn in our stuff for days!)

There was a big race course. The first time Morgan didn't know what he was doing but he soon got the hang of it.
(With a little help from Ammon pushing him.)
These slides were WAY too big!
(The girls loved the new slides and rode them many, many times.)

I (mom) wonder how it feels to ride it together.

(I was afraid Truly and I would go too fast so I put my boots out to slow us down. It kind of took all the fun out of it but I was too tired to walk back up. I guess next year I will know better.)

Here's a video of Hazel slowly making her way down:

(Pepper stuck in a rat race/hamster wheel thing.)
Morgan wonders if the goats bit Hazel's hands.

That's a lot of slides.
(Pepper getting reprimanded for climbing on the outside of the equipment.)
(The kids basically ran free in buddy teams for most of the time but we managed to round everyone up for a group hay ride.)

Lerch's pumpkin donuts kept us happy on our ride. Gary's Aunt Nancy joined us on our outing.

Morgan got bored doing the captions so I'm back.
Here we are getting to head out into the fields to find our pumpkins.
Morgan is a strong little man. The ground was a bit muddy and it was not easy to pull the wagon.
(Now Pepper is narrating.)
Morgan is a tough guy. Sometimes Pepper doesn't like riding in a wagon that much.

Pepper can't take it she just loves to pick pumpkins so much!
Morgan having another problem...again.
Pepper loves holding pumpkins.
Truly is sooo cute.
(Hazel's hands had finally reached freezing and she was no longer a happy camper.)

Pepper can't believe how many pumpkins they were sitting on.

Pepper can't believe it. Pumpkin horses. What?!!!!
(Apparently Pepper likes the phrase "can't believe it!")
Pepper loves riding a pumpkin horse wagon.
Pepper loves yummy-yummies
Ramseyer Farms is definitely one of our favorite fall traditions here in northeast Ohio. Fall is a magical time of year here and provides so many fun family activities. I look forward to many, many more years making more fall memories together with our friends.

Girls Morning with Pepper

On Saturday morning, the 18th, Pepper and I had a girls morning. We had a great time and I really enjoyed having that one-on-one time with her. She is turning into such a fun little person...who never stops talking! First up was a haircut for me and then we had some breakfast at a little bakery nearby.

Pepper's eye looks black because one of the boys we carpool with had hit her in the eye with his iPad mini. She's a tough girl, though and was totally fine.
Next stop was a manicure for Pepper and eyebrow wax for me.

Her nails looked so cool! She asked the lady to put a spiderweb on each middle finger along with sparkles on all of them.

Family Reading Night at King School

On Thursday evening, the 16th, Morgan and Pepper's school had a Family Reading Night. It was a very fun night and all the kids, including Hazel and Truly, got a free book and tote bag. I love their school!!!

Can't pass up a mascot opportunity.
The professional storyteller we saw last year at the main library downtown was there and did a great job keeping all the kids and parents entertained.

Mom and Kids Weekend

The weekend after my birthday Cody had a PR conference in DC and was gone for the whole weekend. I usually do not mind Cody's travels when they are during the week. I don't love them either but usually I can deal with it. I HATE when Cody is gone over a weekend because we all miss that extra time with him and I feel cheated the whole weekend. I mentally prepared for this one and made sure we kept busy and had some fun things to do.
Pizza and Nightmare Before Christmas was a winning combo.
After the movie, it was time for Sweet Frog frozen yogurt.
Here I am once again trying to get a nice shot of all 3 of them looking at me. Easier said then done.

Truly enjoying a treat as well.
Here's a video message we sent Daddy one night:

We survived pretty well but were all very happy to see Cody/Daddy when he came home on Tuesday!

Beth's 35th Birthday

To celebrate my upcoming 35th birthday, Cody made a special meal for me on Sunday night the 5th. I am so grateful for Cody's ability to make very delicious food!

Cody also got me a carrot cake. The kids weren't huge fans, which was fine by me!
Here's a video of my festivities:

Cody helped the kids make me some cards. I loved them.

I don't have many thoughts about turning 35, other than I am happy, I feel blessed and a little old...just a little!

Truly's First Taste of Baby Cereal

After Truly's 4 month check up on September 30th, Dr. Fall gave us the go ahead to start feeding her baby cereal twice a day. I love this milestone and had been looking forward to it. Watching a little baby try to nurse a spoon or figure out what all these new flavors are just cracks me up. Cody got a little picture happy but I love how they show the whole progression of her eating. She loved the cereal immediately by-the-way!

I had to hold her hands to keep her calm. She was so excited to try nursing the spoon.

Favorite baby-eating-shot EVER!

Here are two videos of all the action (you will probably have to turn the volume all the way up...sorry, problem fixed for future videos.)
