Happy St. Paddy's Day!

All growing up I remember my mother saying that we should be wearing orange on St. Patrick's Day because our heritage is protestant and not catholic. I guess at my parents' high school this is how things would work with large groups of kids wearing bright orange. Since Pepper has no green clothes, I decided to pay homage to my mom and dress Pepper in head-to-toe orange.

That's a shout out to you Gramma!

(Oh and yes that is a Halloween shirt; at least it's a holiday shirt!)
Morgan's pre-school had a St. Patrick's Day party so he was all decked out in green.
Here's my attempt at a photo shoot with these two.

Honestly, these two just make me smile!

And could Morgan's eyes BE any smaller!

I mean really, how does he even see when he smiles?!

Joining the festivities.

Cody left for NYC yesterday for a JIF peanut butter sandwich contest/event. They will be on the Todays show at 10am if anyone wants to check it out.

I thought I'd take these so he could feel apart of the holiday with us:)

We tried!

For Morgan's first St. Patrick's Day I took a picture of our holiday socks together.

I decided to recreate that picture and commemorate his growth and Pepper's addition to the holiday sock clan.

Here's a video of the kids and I just celebrating the day hanging out in Morgan's room:

I just loved Pepper's look last Sunday so I just thought I'd share.

On Tuesday we had our playgroup at the Akron Zoo.

It was a beautiful day and so much fun to spend it with such lovely friends.

To make the day even better my dear friends Missy and CR were in Ohio for Missy's brother's wedding and came over with their four kids to spend the afternoon with us. We only had a limited amount of time together and of course I never got a picture of the whole group or Missy and I together but I have the fun memories. I am so glad that they took time out of their busy schedule to come visit and meet my kids. We all spent our high school years together and they are one of the few great examples of high school sweethearts actually making the perfect couple (my parents and two aunts and uncles would be the other examples in my life). It's always fun to hang out with old friends; you always seem to pick up right where you left off!

The younger kids LOVED having Missy's two older boys there to play with and drag them around in the wagon. I'm also glad that Julie, Becky and Sarah all joined us for the afternoon as well. Such a great day!

Fun stuff! I love the orange on Pepper. Crazy outfit, but adorable. Jane was our pink lady on St. Patrick's Day. Alice and I both had jeans and green shirts on. Then we visited the Smiths and all of them had green shirts on and then there was Jane in a pink skirt, long sleeve pink shirt, and a pink hat. Loved it! I'm so glad you got to see Missy and CR. I run into them now and again. Thanks for posting so much!!!
love ya,
Jill
