Trip Out West: Part 2

Sunday night found us in Vernal at Great-Grandma Jean's house. She is Cody's maternal grandmother and she is one awesome lady! She has two dogs, one fish, one kitten and about three or four other cats. Morgan had a blast with all the animals, Pepper, on the other hand was not so sure about the dogs. Especially the huge German Shepard that towerred over her. Luckily, Bojo is the sweetest dog and very good with children.
"Great-Grandma Jeans" as Morgan called her, had a very cute and feisty little kitten that Morgan tried to smother with love at every opportunity.
The house and farm where Cody's mom grew up and where Grandma Jean still lives.

Not a bad view to have out your front door!

Ben the cat and Morgan developed a special bond in the day and a half we were there. I could have done a whole blog post with cute pictures of these two but three pics will have to do.

Vernal, Utah is a dinosaur capital; the place is lousy with dinosaur statues. They have an awesome dinosaur museum that was even more awesome because we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. And the kids were free...this place rocks!

They had lots of great hands-on exhibits that the kids enjoyed.

Morgan was making enough dinosaur noises for ten children. He was very excited.

This lady was a BYU art student who volunteered to come up and repaint all the dinosaur statues. It was fun watching her bring to life the cool animals.

Morgan insisted we take pictures in front of every dinosaur.

A little oasis in the desert!

After the fun museum, we had a picnic lunch and then played at the park.

Pepper really enjoyed herself.
The kids really enjoyed their time with Great-Grandma.
So did we!
Instant Best Buddies.

Monday night we met with all the family in Vernal and had dinner together. It was really fun to see everyone again and let them meet the kids.
Taking a dip in the same tub Grandma Adams used as a child.

Thanks Great-Grandma for letting us come play. Can't wait to come visit again!
Tuesday morning we headed down to the Provo area to visit the Whaleys. We headed over to Thanksgiving Point to take advantage of the last $2 Tuesday at the Dinsosaur Museum.
Unfortunately, the rest of Happy Valley must have had the same idea. The place was completely packed but we still managed to have a fun time...after we all got lost and then found each other again, that is.

My little dinosaurs!
Ansley, Pepper and Morgan

Ansley, Chamaine, Pepper and Cody
We've decided that Morgan and Ansley are going to get married one day so we should take engagement type photos whenever possible. The two of them were playing in a photo booth so we got some pictures taken. They of course were smiling and having fun until we took the photos. They look more like mug shots but I guess it's the thought that counts:)

Pepper and baby Maizy riding in Chamaine's awesome Chariot stroller.

That night we went to the mall for dinner and to let the kids play.
How these two ended up enjoying a peaceful, kid-free meal I'll never know!
Mesha and Kurt (Chamaine's husband)

Morgan taking his lady for a ride.

The University Mall has an awesome play area complete with more dinosaurs!

Wednesday morning we got up early and headed to the Hogle Zoo.
Auntie Chamaine looking very cute!

The fun crew.
Baby Maizy was on my back, in case you were wondering where she went.

I thought you could see baby Maizy in the picture, oops.

Auntie Mesha looking very pretty on the train.
Very happy Pepper and Daddy.
Ansley got a little scared on the train and Pepper gave her the stink eye!

After the zoo and nap time, we headed over to the Whaley's home to visit Sis. Whaley. Morgan slept through most of the visit but luckily woke up in time to go out for a Chinese dinner. The setting sun was a bit of a challenge at first but we still had a great time.

We are really glad we got to stop over for a few days and visit with everyone. Thank you guys, for being the best friends/family people could ask for!

Uncle Kelley (Mesha's husband) showing Morgan how Sis. Whaley's cool van worked.
We stayed with Mesha and Kelley in Spanish Fork. Morgan enjoyed the cool cars and motorcycles and insisted I take his picture with them.
Pepper has really become quite the little "cheeser" and loves to accessorize as well. She looks like a chubby little Olivia Newton-John in this picture. All day I kept singing, "Let's get physical, physical."
After spending two fabulous days in the Provo area, we headed out Thursday afternoon for Virgin and Grandma and Papa Adams' home. Thanks everyone for letting us stay and play with you guys. We love you all!
