Jill, Grandpa and Jane
On Monday night the world had to say good-bye to a noble soul.
My grandfather, Harold Edwin Goodier, passed away at the age of 92.
He is survived by 2 sons, 5 grand-children, 14 1/2 great-grandchildren and his sweetheart, Inez.

This will always be my all time favorite picture of my grandfather and I am forever grateful I was able to capture this magical moment.
Me, Morgan, Grandpa, Pepper and Papa during the summer of 2009.
Pepper loves her grandpas, all of them.

No, we are not a short family.
Last summer we all had a little get together at the clubhouse near my grandfather's home. Here is Inez and my dad watching Pepper while Grandpa chats with my sister, Kim.

He was always such a snappy dresser. I guess that's where my dad gets it from too.
Once again, a magical moment between Pepper and her Great-Grandpa. Morgan had a hard time sitting still long enough to take a picture with him but Pepper always seemed intrigued by Grandpa. She stayed pretty close to him most of the afternoon.

I am sad that I will not be able to see him again but am happy that he had a long, full, happy life and passed away quickly. My grandfather spent his golden years dancing, playing bridge and other games he loved and generally enjoying life. He set a great example of hard-work and integrity for his 3 sons and their posterity. I am proud to be his grand-daughter and am so glad my children had a chance to meet him. I wish I had the words to express what is in my heart but right now I will just say, Great-Grandpa Goodier was loved, truly loved and we will miss him!

Very sweet post. Grandparents are so special, and what a long, life-filled life! I'm sorry you've had to say goodbye, but at least we know it's only for a "moment." Sending hugs!
What a wonderful long and happy life! He has a lot to be proud of with such a legacy!
