May Randomness

So here is a lot of random pictures and events.
I have always been obsessed with baby toes and Hazel is no exception. But this picture turned even more special because I happened to catch the part of the blanket that says, "I love." So true, so true!
A few weeks ago, we decided it was time to move Hazel into her own room and give Pepper a twin bed. We also decided that that would be a good time for the "Binky Fairy" to come and take Pepper's binkies away. She has only had them to sleep with since 8 mos old so I never had a problem with them but it was time. We talked it up for a while beforehand so she was pretty excited. She helped wrap them up pretty and Morgan told her to say good-bye.
We had to move around her room a bit to accommodate the vents so here's part of the new arrangement. She also liked the puff ball decorations from her party so much that Cody suggested hanging them in her room. They look pretty cool.
It took her a bit longer to fall asleep but she did just great with no crying or anything. The next morning she awoke to new Dora ballet slippers. She was very excited. She loves to pose now and dance around ALL the time. Such a little diva.
Hazel is now almost 7mos old and she can finally sit up (with a lot of help and supervision of course.) She is also rolling all over the place. At her six month check up, on the same day as Pepper's 3yr, she weighed 15lbs and was 26 in. She is back up to the 50% but still looks like a little peanut. She has the skinniest arms and almost no fat rolls.
She does however have some fabulously chubby cheeks. Oh my goodness I just love this little lady.

Her hair is also starting to come in on the top of her head and basically just sticks straight up. We'll see if it starts to curl. Oh, and don't ask me why Morgan is sitting on a chair over in the doorway, to each his own.
On the first Saturday in May we went to Home Depot for their kids workshop. Here is a great shot of Pepper in her apron and with her zoned out look and horrible "cheeeeeze" smile.
But she did make a fantastic rainbow planter box.
On Monday, May 7th, I took Pepper to see the Akron Symphony's "Peter and the Wolf," production for kids. You can barely see the orchestra in the background and the tree from the set. The muscians played a few different pieces and introduced themselves before the main production began. Then some kids and adults and puppets performed Peter and the Wolf. It was AMAZING for such a small production and Pepper just loved it. She especially loved the puppet bird that a girl held on a long pole and had it fly and swoop above the kids heads. She kept yelling, "The bird is flying. It's flying!" Morgan was at school and Hazel was taking a nap at a friends so it was a great little date for the two of us. I love my little Peppermint.

And since I am typing this from the floor since we haven't set up our new desk yet, that will be all for tonight!
