Too Much Fun!

Last Saturday, our friends Jen and Brent invited us to join them for some super fun on their boat. We headed down to Berlin Lake and had one fantastic afternoon! Pepper in her stylish lifejacket. I thought she would hate the bulk but after awhile she didn't seem to notice. She looked like a little pink sumo wrestler that was bouncing all around the boat.
Pepper LOVED this boat!
Morgan was a little nervous at first...
but once we got him on the boat and into his lifejacket he LOVED it too!
Jen and Ava, the other little sumo wrestler.
Ahh, the boating life.
Once we got going fast, Pepper was like a dog running around the boat. She would run to the front climb up on the seat, hold onto the side of the boat and jump up and down. The she would get down run to the back of the boat and do the same thing. When she wasn't trying to leap into the water she was running around in circles and bouncing off of things. This kid is crazy!
Here's a very shaky, noisy video of her craziness:

We took a break from speeding about and got into the water.
Although Pepper was trying to jump ship from the moment we got on, once we got into the water she didn't stop screaming till we got her out. I think it was because we were holding onto her and this little mermaid is under the impression she can swim and breathe underwater.
After our swim, Jen and Brent took turns wakeboarding. Then we got all packed up again and headed over to Kent State University to see the Pro-Football Hall of Fame Balloon Festival.
Remember when you used to be able to grab your purse and head out the door...I don't either! (Oh and btw, I'm carrying Pepper in my Ergo as I take this picture. The words pack mule keeps coming to mind.)
One of our favorite balloons.
The kids enjoyed the musical entertainment.
Pepper working the crowd like usual.

We finally left about 8:30 pm when we discovered the fireworks didn't start till 10pm. It was a wonderfully long, fun filled, exhausting Saturday! Thanks Jen, Brent and Ava for all the fun.
These are just some moments from us hanging out at home missing Daddy. Cody has been traveling a lot lately and heads out again tomorrow morning.

Morgan is keeping Cody's gameboy in good working order for him.
This week for playgroup we went to the Akron Zoo. Pepper still spends most of the time in the stroller but at least now she seems to care about the animals.
She kept pointing and saying "Cat, Cat."
The zoo just opened a brand new carousel.
Morgan was all excited about the different animals to choose from and in the end chose the exotic moose. Go figure!
Pepper started out on the dolphin then moved to the otter next to Ava.

The kids waiting for the train.
Jen was nice enough to climb into this oven...I mean train car with the girls and Morgan. Pepper was stoked about her first Akron Zoo train ride.
Anna and Dominic take a break in the shade. It was crazy humid today...almost as bad as Florida, almost.
The kids checking out the fish, turtles, birds and monkeys.
Pepper's favorite by far were the jellyfish. She kept bopping up and down and pointing. When I tried to pull the stroller away she got very upset. Later when she was out of the stroller she kept running back to see them again.
Playing in the jellyfish play area and looking oh so cute!
Morgan enjoyed trying to climb the rock wall. The kids also got to touch some marine animals like horseshoe crabs and sea urchins. Pepper really like touching them, which kind of surprised me. Once again, we had a great time with our friends at playgroup. I am so thankful for our friends here. The summer may be flying by but sometimes a day can just drag. Having something fun to look forward to always helps!
