Women at the Well

A few weeks ago I was asked by a sister in our ward to help with the Relief Society birthday dinner celebration. She was going to put on a musical program entitled "Women at the Well." It tells different stories from the scriptures of women who's lives were touched by Jesus in some miraculous way. She asked me to sing one of the songs and to help with staging. I agreed and then immediately forgot about it. Then it came time to meet for a couple rehearsals before the performance on Thursday the 21st. I was sure there was no way I was going to memorize the song in time or forget everything when I got on stage. Luckily, that did not happen and it was actually a pretty great night. I had so much fun being a part of a production again and helping the other ladies stage their own songs and help arrange the set. It also felt amazing to sing on stage and I was so glad that I pushed myself to step outside my comfort zone.
We each had to put together our own costume. Fortunately for me I had all of this in my closet and it was close enough.
My song was "Close Enough to Touch," which is the second song. I was very happy to be near the beginning so that I could enjoy all the other ladies' beautiful songs. It was such an amazing night and I feel very blessed to have been a part of it.

Here's my song (my friend took the video with my phone and didn't know to make sure it was in focus before she started recording but at least the sound is clear):

McKaylee sang "Go In Peace," my new favorite song.

Our readers and set.
Here are some of the other performances, I wish I had thought to record them all.
