Random August

Here are all the random activities I took pictures of with my phone during the month of August.

Hazel playing with her dolls. Feels like yesterday I was watching Pepper at this age just starting to play make believe. Love it!

Hair cuts for everyone.

I think Hazel likes the playmat more than Truly.
And yes those are two naked dolls kissing...I have no words to explain that one.

Happened to go to storytime downtown on the day of the kindergarten fair. We all had a great time doing the different activities at each booth, getting free books and eating free pizza.

Big moment in our life. We moved Pepper into Hazel's room so Truly could have her own room. This is our first time having kids share a room. So far so good. This was the morning we spent removing the wallpaper border. One of these days we need to get around to painting. One of these days.

The girls were all super helpful!

I took all these trying to catch a smile or some other funny face. I think she knew what I wanted and purposefully made it difficult!

I cannot handle myself around baby toes! I just have to kiss them and play with them always. That may be the biggest thing I miss about not having another baby...just maybe!

Another library storytime about outer space. There was a huge rocket that the kids could climb inside.

The Griesmyers joined us that day. Everything is more fun with friends.

Family Day at Smucker's. It was a beautiful day, a little on the cool side. The kids had a great time running around with the Roskos kids and eating lots of yummy food.

While I was in a mother's lounge feeding Truly, Cody kept the older kids entertained in a conference room. They loved the little microphones.

She may not enjoy me messing with her hair and then taking a picture of it.

Make up and duck faces. Good to have some girl time.

Truly enjoys being propped up and seeing what is going on.

Mid-August I started potty training Hazel in preparation for her going to preschool. At first things were not going great because life was just too busy and I kept putting her in pull-ups when we would go out and about. This really slowed things down. As soon as the older kids started school and life calmed down, Hazel caught on pretty quickly. I love little bums in underwear!

These two crack me up. They would take turns standing on the slide singing some song and then slide down while the other one took over. It went on forever and was a great show to watch.

Finally by the end of August, Truly had decided she did in fact like Cody. For awhile there if he picked her up it took about 10 seconds before she would start screaming. But to be fair to Cody, Truly did this with everyone and still does it with most people.

It is fun watching her start to discover toys. Her hands are still her favorite but she's starting to grab other things as well.

Hazel cracks me up. Period.
