Morgan's Kindergarten Cleveland Zoo Trip

Morgan's kindergarten class took a field trip to the Cleveland Zoo on Wednesday, May 8th. I was lucky enough to be able to go along as a chaperon. I always remember my mom coming on all our field trips and that I really appreciated her taking the time to do that for us. Plus it was always nice to have a mom with a purse along on a trip:) I'm glad I am lucky enough to be that mom, too!
Morgan's class has been studying flamingos for a couple months now and were all very excited to see them.

Listening like a kangaroo.

Diego and his father, Joe, with Morgan on the tram headed up the hill to see the sharks and monkeys.

The boys were talking about seeing the sharks since we got in the car so they were pretty stoked to see them.

Our group: Eva, Morgan, Dorian, and Diego.
We had such an easy group and everyone had a great time.

There are cheetahs in the background but the kids were all very ready to eat so it was hard to get them excited for another picture.

Another group of 2 kids and 2 parents joined our group of 4 kids and 4 parents for lunch.
Seriously, so awesome to have such amazing parent involvement. We had almost as many parents as kids for the whole class of 19 kids. His teacher and her son didn't even go with a group and just floated around in case anyone needed them. Easiest field trip ever!

The bears were very active and playing in the water. Fun to watch.

We walked along the giraffes heading back to the front of the zoo because we were nearing the end of our day.
Sadly, Morgan was not quite in the mood to really enjoy the giraffes being so close because the pollen was really beginning to bother him. The last 30 min or so were killer for him. Poor guy.

Morgan and Jerry looking pretty cool.

Eva and her parents were super sweet. They said they had heard a lot about Morgan and she had even told them about Morgan's new "handsome" haircut. I asked about her beautifully braided hair. Little Eva has to sit still for 3 hrs every 3 weeks to get her hair done like that. I can't even imagine!

One final stop by the flamingos. The zoo keeper that was there was very impressed by all their flamingo knowledge.

Morgan's kindergarten class.

We have been so impressed and happy with Morgan's school and feel very blessed to have been able to get him in. We look forward to many more years with them.
