Pepper's 3yr Woodland Preschool Spring Parent Program

Pepper and the rest of Woodland Preschool put on a spring program for the parents on Friday, May 10th. Pepper was very excited for Hazel and I to come. She had been singing some of the songs for us and even had a tiny speaking part.
The theme of the program was "Sunshine," and all of the songs, jokes and poems centered around sunshine.
Marching in. I was very glad I put leggings on her because someone had a hard time keeping her dress down.

Lafe Smith checking everything out.

Pepper and Mason kept each other amused.

Some more 3 and 4yr friends.

Sophia Blanchard doing very well speaking into the mic.

Marching off after a job well done.
Mrs. Yonders is a photographer as well and had put together some very nice Mother's Day plaques for all of us. There was a hand print butterfly, photo of our child and a poem about mothers. So sweet!
Lafe and Lesli.
Lafe did a great job singing and Lesli was very proud of her sometimes shy little guy.

We love Mrs. Yonders and hope she sticks around so Hazel can have her as well.
Speaking of Hazel, she had quite a little drama of her own that Friday. Thursday evening, right before bedtime, Hazel was leaning against the kitchen door when Pepper swung it open from outside. Pepper and I were outside doing something and had no idea Hazel was leaning on the door. Cody and I were both looking the other way when Hazel started screaming. I turned around to find Pepper holding the door and Hazel laying forward over the threshold into the kitchen. I have no idea what actually happened but I guess she stepped back down the step and fell forward over it. Whatever happened she was very upset and it took a long time to quiet her down. Then we noticed if we tried to make her stand or walk she started screaming again and refused to put weight on her right leg. We laid her down and moved all her joints around and she seemed fine so we decided to put her to bed and hope for the best. Friday morning, she still refused to walk or put weight on her leg and was super fussy. I made an appointment for her later in the afternoon since Pepper had her preschool program and we couldn't go in the morning. After the program she started putting weight on it and limping around. Probably because she was so desperate to get to all the toys in Pepper's classroom.
Here she is after school before naptime, proudly displaying Pepper's balloon and smoothie.
Little sisters steal everything!
I should know!

I woke Hazel up early from her nap and took her to the doctor. She was still limping but doing much better. Dr. Fall checked her out and had her walk around. She let him pick her up and put her on the table to check her joints. She kept smiling and laughing at him. Then when she would walk to him, Hazel would put up her arms to him and give him big hugs. You could tell it made his day and he kept saying how unique she is for a 1yr old that she didn't fuss or get scared. He determined it was a bruised muscle but nothing wrong with the bone. By Saturday morning she was just fine. So grateful that there was nothing serious but man it made for a long day. Good thing she's so darn cute! All day Hazel was extra huggy and loving to everyone. When Lesli showed up at the school to watch the program with me, Hazel leapt out of my arms for her and hugged and snuggled with Lesli for a good ten minutes. Lesli said it made her day because all her kids are too big for cuddles now. Hazel does seem to have a way of brightening everyones' moods.

So, back to Pepper...here are some (and by some I mean many, many) videos of her and her schoolmates singing. I promise you that they are short and that Pepper's dance moves, facial expressions and crazy antics do not disappoint. Plus, the other kids are pretty funny too. I think they are pretty cute but I'll understand if you don't watch them all:)
