Florida Trip 1st Weekend

The day before our Florida trip we drove over to Cousin Robin's house to spend the night and pick up Ali.
Always fun to get together with these crazy kiddos.
Hanging out in the Dayton aiport waiting for our big trip to start.
The Orlando airport, also known as you're-almost-to-Disney airport.
The flight was pretty non-eventful until about the last 20 minutes. We had passed the hour when Hazel's nap should have been taking place and she was done. Of course, this was also the same time that we were starting to descend so they wanted me to keep her in my lap with my tray up and everything turned off and put away. I had to wrestle her around for awhile then finally got her strapped into the Ergo with her blanket and binky. She nestled right in and calmed down but it was still a very long ending to a luckily short flight.
This big girl insisted on carrying her own bag, no shoes but her own bag.
Cody surprised the kids in the Orlando airport. We had not told them that Daddy was going to be in Florida at all. It was so nice to have him for the first weekend we were there and to be able to spend time on vacation with him. Cody does not love humidity but I'm pretty sure he was happy to be with us as well!
Cody and Hazel lounging about at Gramma's.
A couple days before our trip Hazel seemed to catch something from some other babies that I had babysat. We unfortunately took it with us and passed it around to Jill's family. By Tuesday it became necessary to see a doctor. Near my parents' home was the nicest urgent care place I have ever seen. They had all these kid friendly snacks in the waiting room and put the tv on the Disney channel. They were super quick and very nice. They even called a few times later in the week to just check up on us!
Poor Hazel had an ear infection and I had a sinus infection.
Morgan just had a cough so they gave us a "just-in-case" Rx that we never had to fill.

Goofy baby.

From the moment we got to Gramma's house we pretty much lived in the pool. Hazel mostly enjoyed walking around the pool and throwing things in but she enjoyed having the option of getting wet.

Once Morgan had his mask on he was good to go and even ventured into the deep end to swim around.

Ali kept us all in braids or at least anyone who would sit still long enough.

Yep, this is what an iPad will do to everyone during quiet time.

Morgan and Alice had a lot of fun together.
On Saturday, June 15th, Alice had a little birthday pool party with lots of friends. The pool was completely filled with little kids and everyone had a great time.

Lots of pool fun:
Katie kept a good eye on the snack table.
Here's a video of all the girls jumping in:

Alice is the queen of scowling!
I swear she was having a great time.

Lovely.

Yay, a smile from Alice!

All the party girls guarding the presents.

Naked baby on the loose.
For Father's Day Jill and I both put together some picture/video collages for the dads. Jill needed one more picture from my family. This is us trying to get a nice picture before bedtime. Ugh.

Everyone's favorite chair, Papa's.
Karaoke time.
Here's a great video of the girls rocking out. Pepper's dancing just kills me!!!!:

Everyone loved how snuggly Hazel was with them. Granted she did not feel 100% but she is like this even when she feels great. She is our snuggle bug for sure!

More birthday celebrations on Sunday.

Again, lovely.

Hazel was a fan of Alice turning 5.
I will post the movie I created for Cody and Kevin if I can figure out how. It was fun to show them lots of home videos and pictures of them with all their babies and little ones and some of my dad with us girls. It was fun trying to have everyone guess which baby was which too. Not always so easy with so many blond, blue eyed babies!
