Royal Baked Goods

I finally went out on a limb and have decided to start selling my pies and other baked goods on instagram and facebook. I love baking and I especially love making yummy treats for others. I have been thinking of doing this for awhile but it was never the right time. I began to think that this was the year to finally take that leap and with Cody's support, at the end of September I finally did. First up, were three apple pies made from the apples I picked at Bauman Orchards. I made them and then posted pictures on line offering them for sale. By that Friday night, they were all gone. Happy day!
My sous chef.

I made these two for Ammon Griesmyer's baptism and for Cody's friends. The response was so great that I decided the next week I would make them to sell.
"All right local friends, I am starting a new baking venture. Every week or so I will do some extra baking, post the results and you will be able to purchase the goodies to enjoy. First up will be some freshly picked apple pies (these are the two I made last weekend.) They will be available tomorrow afternoon, just in time for your weekend get-togethers. I'm excited to share my passion with others!"
Not using my amazing pie plates caused a bit of a challenge at first getting the edges right. I managed to figure out how to get around that flaw for the others.

"Pies are ready to go. I have two Apple pies for $12 each and one Apple-Dried Cherry for $15. First to respond wins. Check, cash, or paypal accepted. Hope to see you soon!"

The next week I decided to make breads. The response wasn't as great and I only sold half and gave away the other two. Good learning experience.
"First loaf is out of the oven and very warm and crusty. This yummy Triple-Seed Wheat Bread can be yours for $10. The Rosemary-Apricot bread will be done by this afternoon. I have two loaves of each flavor available. ($3 fee if you'd rather I deliver.)"
"All 4 artisan loaves ready to go. (Two Triple-Seed Wheat and two Rosemary-Apricot.) Since this business is still a work in progress, I've decided to lower the price to $7 a loaf. If you'd like to come pick one up, let me know."
Cody urged me to stick with pies for awhile and with the holidays coming up I probably will. Next up, will be French Silk pies...fan favorite.
