Morgan and Pepper's Costume Parade

Finally an actual Halloween related activity on the 31st of October! Morgan and Pepper's school had their costume parade on Halloween afternoon. It was early enough that I kept the younger two up and we all headed over to watch. The late nap was worth getting to see all the kids and their creative costumes.
Morgan as Jango Fett followed by one of the many, many, many Elsa's we saw.
Note the awesomely, creative costume by his very, pregnant teacher, Mrs. Jensen.

Pepper the cat complete with princess purse (that I had no idea she smuggled into her backpack...I need to check that thing better!)
Hazel wore an Elsa dress and fit right in with all the big kids.
Walking back to the car we passed Connor's class and saw Melissa as well.

Some neighborhoods actually trick-or-treat on Halloween no matter what day it falls on. Pepper's friend, Cadence McDermott, invited Pepper to join her and her family, along with the Chubas, and go collect even more candy. It was a very cold, windy and rainy night but they all had a great time. Pepper has some vampire teeth in her mouth, in case you were wondering what is going on with her mouth.
Every year I look forward to all the fun Halloween activities and every year I am SO glad when they are all over!

Hazel's 3yr Preschool Halloween Parade

On Thursday the 30th, Hazel and the preschool had their Halloween parade. Little kids in costumes parading around, pure gold.

Here's the kids in action:
Rainbow costume was hands down my absolute favorite!

Akron Ward Trunk-or-Treat

Wednesday the 29th was the night of our ward's Trunk-or-Treat. Our ward always has a lot of fun with this and has a little festival beforehand. We always look forward to this night.
Hazel really is excited. I swear.

Hazel had to get down and act like a cat as well.

Oops, loose candy. Must be picked up.
Pepper was focused on her goal.

Her little over-bite is just my favorite!

We were excited to have Evan, Connor and Melissa Cox join us for the festivities.

Photobomb by Joe Ellebruch.
So much to love about this picture, Truly's funny expression and hat, Josette's cute costume and big smile, and all the crazy kids playing in the background.
Good times had by all!
This shot was definitely worth a close-up!

Hazel's Gymnastics Class Halloween Day

Just a lot of cute little gymnastics girls in cute little costumes.

Truly, with spit-up on her pants, joining in on the fun.

We got "Booed" by a neighbor. We were supposed to "Boo" 2 more houses but never got around to it. Oops, I guess we'll try again next year.

Carving Pumpkins

On Friday the 24th we finally got around to carving our pumpkins. This is an improvement over last year when we carved them in November.

Hazel kept a good watch on the action while watching her "iTab."

The guts were by far everyone's least favorite part but they at least tried this year.

Instead of tracing pictures, we decided to let everyone design their own faces. It was fun to see everyone's unique ideas.

Morgan wanted a vampire pumpkin.
Truly's little baby pumpkin was my design.
Pepper wanted one that had a smiley and a frowny face.
Hazel's had a combination of shapes.
Cody's had a winking eye.
Carving pumpkins. Check. Now onto Trick-or-Treating.
