Random May

Here are some random pictures from my iPhone from the month of May.
Just a typical Sunday evening, chillin with Dad.
And working on the blog.
Pepper and Hazel hanging out with our piano teacher's daughter, baby Zoey.
Feeling so, so big at 37 weeks.
Hazel having fun at our friend's, Stephanie Warsmith's (Sarah's mom,) graduation party. She just completed her master's degree from Kent State.  It was a lovely evening with lots of good food and friends.
38 weeks. Still pregnant, still folding laundry and now I can't get up off the floor.
First time my belly button kind of popped.
May 15th, the day we thought Truly would arrive but we got sent home from the hospital. Gramma G did arrive, though and we were happy about that.
Cody and I going out for a last date night of falafel, yummy.
38 1/2 weeks. My belly was rubbed a lot by children at church, informing me there was a baby in there!

Watching Daddy kill zombies is a group effort.
Pepper crafting at preschool field day.
Truly ready to head home from the hospital.

She's either a superhero or fighting the man.

Getting her newborn shots done by Laura Perkins.

Sister snuggles.
Truly taking a nap in the swing. Our 4th baby to do so.
Pepper made a book and crown for Truly so she could be a baby princess.
Milk coma and drool.
Baby monkey toes!!!! My favorite.
Hazel has no concept of personal space.
No one seems to mind.
So, we are finally done with May! Now, on to the end of school and start of summer.

Touch a Truck with Daddy

Tuesday morning the 27th, Cody took the kids to a nearby elementary school for a Touch-a-Truck outing.

Always a sweaty mess.

Checking out Akron Children's Hospital's helicopter.
Cody met up with Bekah and her kids.
Checking out the bus for these suburban kids.
Here's a video of the medical helicopter for Akron Children's hospital taking off after the event:

Memorial Day at the Smiths'

On Monday, May 26th, Memorial Day, Cody and Gramma took the older kids over to the Smith's home for a bar-b-que and treehouse raising. The kids had a great time playing outside and on all the fun equipment. Gramma did not enjoy all the hazards she saw and came home early to put Hazel down for a nap.
Put this girl in the dirt and she is a happy camper.

Cody said these two kept doing everything in sync. Lafe is Pepper's age but he and Morgan have a great time playing together.

"Sisters"

Taking a break from the heat inside.
The garage was treehouse central.
This is a serious treehouse with real windows and a loft, sleeping space.

Pepper loves this zip line!
I was sorry to miss out on the festivities but very happy to have a quiet afternoon relaxing with Truly. Newborns are exhausting, cuddly but exhausting.
