I swear it feels like Halloween has been going on for the past two weeks. It has been one party or event after the other. The only good thing about all this craziness is that Morgan got to wear his super-hero costume multiple times. Thanks, once again, to Grandma Adams who made another amazing costume! We called him "Super Morgan." He LOVED it!
Last Friday, The Little Gym had a Halloween party. You were allowed to bring friends so we invited Becky, Abby and Ben to join us. Since it started kind of late, Cody stayed home with Pepper. Becky made Abbys cute kitty costume and Ben's awesome mouse costume.
Morgan had a great time showing Abby all of his gymnastic skills. It was super crowded but really fun.
That night Ben took his first steps across my kitchen and then later at the party we got him to take a few more so we could get it on film for his daddy. Such a big boy!
Last Wednesday, our ward had their Halloween carnival and trunk-or-treat. Always a good time, especially with these three crazy kids.
Jack was Peter Pan and Morgan was very jealous that Jack got a little sword. He was not buying my explanation that he was a super cool super hero that didn't need a sword.

Pepper decided her purse would be her trick-or-treat bucket and really started enjoying it when people would put things in it.

At this booth you got to pick a rubber duckie out of the water and then got a prize. Pepper thought this was the greatest thing ever and made poor Angela hold her for a good ten minutes while she got soaking wet. After, the carnival we all went outside for the trunk-or-treat. I handed out candy while Cody took the kids around. They had a blast and were very proud of their full buckets.
On Thursday morning, Morgan's preschool had a Halloween parade. The kids got to wear their costumes to school and then at the end parents and family could come to watch the kids sing a song and parade around in their costumes. Morgan seemed to have a good time and Pepper loved screaming his name and jumping up and down when he would pass by. Morgan stopped to give her a hug a couple times. The lady behind me asked if they were always like that. I laughed and said, "Yes, but it usually turns into some sort of tackle at the end of the hug."
On Saturday afternoon, our good friends Jen, Brent and Ava came over to help us celebrate Halloween. We hung out, carved pumpkins and went trick-or-treating around the neighborhood with our neighbors.

I had never seen a white pumpkin before but now I think they are the coolest. Inside they are light green and smell like cucumbers. So weird!
Pepper was very excited to put on her elephant costume again. She started screaming with delight when I brought it out. I'm very thankful my kids will let me dress them up and keep their whole costumes on. It makes it a lot easier!

Pepper, Ava as Elmo, Simon as a monkey and a friend of our neighbors was a little Tiger. We took six kids under the age of four. That was a sight even without the costumes!
Our first stop was our house. Pepper was excited to start filling up her purse again.
Abe was a dinosaur and roared at everyone. It was very funny when Pepper started roaring back. With a big brother like Morgan, it takes a lot to scare Pepper.
It was a lot of fun trick-or-treating on our street with all the pretty leaves and fall colors around. It really helps set the mood.
Pepper lept out of my arms to get to Jen. I'm always grateful for the chance to get Pepper out of my arms. Yay, for great friends! We missed these guys.

Right now it is Halloween night and Cody and I are watching our traditional Halloween movie, Sleepy Hollow, while eating the kids' candy. Life is pretty good!

That evening we babysat for Jerry and Becky so they could go on a belated date for their anniversary. They've been married one week less than us. We had a great time with Ben and Abby and everyone enjoyed the Happy Meals Cody brought home for them.
