Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Rec Center

On Saturday, March 28th the Northwest Akron Rec Center had their annual Easter egg hunt. We have done this every year since we moved here and were very excited to introduce Truly to this tradition. First stop was my attempt to get a group shot in front of the Easter Bunny stuffed animal. I know I should delete some of these but each one has just a slight difference that reminds me of my kids' personalities and makes me smile. After the photo shoot, the big kids joined the the crowd getting ready to go crazy out in the freezing cold. Hazel, Truly and I headed over to the "bunny pen" area for the under 5 crowd. We saw lots of friends there and despite the snow and cold, everyone was happy to celebrate Easter.

These two buddies were very excited to hunt eggs together. Or at least Emma was excited to hunt eggs with Hazel and Hazel was just excited to see her friend and be out of the house.

This one was just along for the ride.

Took some coaxing but Hazel eventually started picking up the eggs.
Here are some videos of the kids hunting for eggs:

"Just hunting for Easter eggs in 20 degree weather. That's how we roll here in Northeast Ohio!"
"Hip-hop-hooray for Easter fun!"
"Besties and babies enjoying the Easter fun."
