On Saturday, February 8th, the main library downtown hosted their annual Family Reading Day. They have lots of fun entertainment, booths with activities and the kids get a free book. Cody had a Smucker's bowling tournament that morning, so I set up to meet some friends and braved the crowds with the 3 kids. Totally worth it.
| We got there just in time to watch Jim Gill. This year he had a friend helping him out on accordion. |
| Such fun music. The kids loved dancing around while watching him. |
| Kami, Porter, Hugo and Avi helped keep us company and me from going insane! |
| Hazel is such a love bug. She can be very shy but she loves anyone in a character outfit. Hugs all around. |
| Avi, Hazel and Pepper were all very happy to see Curious George. |
| After we wandered around the booths and got our free books, we went back into the audotorium to watch a professional storyteller put on a show. She had a musician helping her on keyboard. She was very musical, dramatic and entertaining. For the last story, she asked for volunteers. Pepper and Avi ran right up. Morgan started to go but opted to sit in the front row instead. |
| Making sure we all see them onstage while waiting to get assigned their parts. |
| Avi is part of the turnip patch. |
| Pepper got to be the cat in the story and hold up a puppet. The girls had a great time and were very proud of themselves. Love Family Reading Day! |
