End of Summer Campout with Daddy

On Friday, August 8th Cody and I took the kids up to the John Johnson Farm to have dinner and let the kids play. Before dark I headed home with the two younger girls and Cody stayed to have a campout with Morgan and Pepper. This was Pepper's first campout so I was interested to see how it would go. Everything went great and they all had fantastic time.
(The pictures are in reverse order with Cody's pics first and then mine from Friday afternoon.)

The boys working on the fire.

Quite possibly the most horrifying picture of Pepper ever!
Dessert time.

Glow sticks!!!

This makes a mom feel real great....not!

The farm is set up for the youth to have their camps. They have this little amphitheatre set up and the kids had a great time putting on a show for us.

Here's a video of the kids show:

Such a beautiful night!
The next morning Hazel, Truly and I drove back to the farm to pick everyone up. After everything was packed up, we headed to Pittsburgh to do some serious shopping at Ikea. It was an interesting morning with Truly throwing some major tantrums and Pepper throwing up in the cafeteria because she thought it smelled bad. But the kids finally had fun at the play area and we got lots of things we needed to better organize our home. All in all a successful trip.
Truly's first Ikea trip. She was thrilled!
