Smucker's Breakfast With Santa

Saturday, November 15th was the annual Smucker's Breakfast with Santa. We were all very excited and the kids had their letters to Santa all ready to go. The Griesmyers were joining us and we all decided to get there first thing to avoid the crazy crowds of last year.
First stop is saying hello to the reindeer.

Attempting to get a cute picture while we wait in line. When we first started coming to this 5 years ago, this is where Santa and Mrs. Claus would sit with hardly any line at all. Now the line is huge and they sit in a more secluded area that makes managing the crowds easier.

I guess Hazel wasn't feeling the love.
Always have to have our blanket/burp cloth ready just in case this little one decides to erupt.
Eli and Pepper getting excited to see the "Big Guy."
Our friends the Hancocks joined us in line.
I love the way this one stands or poses for pictures. Subtle but cute.

Lovely.
Not getting this one dressed till the last second!
Almost there!
Hooray, finally our turn to chat with Santa and Mrs. Claus!
Mrs. Claus thought Morgan's note was so funny. Before pictures started, she took the time to make sure Santa saw the note as well and told him what Morgan wanted. I thought that was so kind of her. I love this couple. They really take the time to make each child feel special and never rush anyone. To us they are the "real" Clauses!

I was worried how Hazel and Truly would do. They are both so unpredictable with strangers. Hazel was quiet but happy to see Santa. Truly looked like she was about to turn on the waterworks but Mrs. Claus was so calm and smiley that she seemed to be won over by her magic.

Mrs. Claus didn't want to give her back and Truly seemed quite comfortable to stay with her.

Bekah was once again teaching dance so Gary was doing his best to wrangle everyone. I tried to help out, too.
All the boys were excited to talk to them and take a picture. Samuel was happy as long as he had his binky!

Now, onto breakfast and the pancake toppings bar. Watching the kids eat their creations made me almost lose my appetite!
Can you see the chocolate ring on Pepper's mouth?!

Another wonderful morning with Santa! We decided against the wagon ride around the parking lot so we could get Pepper back for ballet and some other activities that day. I love this tradition. Perfect way to start our holiday season!
