An organization called "Better Block" goes into run down neighborhoods and sets up all these pop up stores and restaurants, make bike lanes, and outdoor eating areas. Musicians and other local groups perform. The whole idea is to show the neighborhood what it could be like and to try to get businesses and other locals to start taking an interest in the area again to revitalize it. On Saturday, May 16th, we went to check out a Better Block neighborhood in the North Hill area of Akron. Pepper was at ballet but the rest of us had a great morning out.

Pepper was at ballet rehearsal and missed the whole thing. We were very nice and brought her some shaved ice that we had to try VERY hard not tot eat on the way home. So yummy!" |
