Peak At Our Week

This week hasn't been overly exciting but we've kept busy and enjoyed ourselves. Now that the weather has turned fairly cold the lovely static electricity is back and better than ever! Our couches, which we love, are made out of micro-suede. Great for all the formula and spit up that needs to be wiped off but not so great for the hair-dos...no matter how little you have. Morgan found this out the hard way on Sunday night. His face is read because it seems he's inherited one of my lovely traits...super dry skin. I'll have to apologize to him later in life.

On Mondays and Tuesdays Chase comes over to play with us and spend the day. Now that Morgan and he are getting older and more active things have become quite entertaining for me. I was enjoying watching these two interact and couldn't help but snap a few photos and take some videos. Before I shot this video I had never seen Morgan pull himself up to a standing position. It was great to see and I'm glad Chase could be so accommodating...of course he got his revenge a few moments later by pulling on what little hair Morgan has. Neither really seemed to mind the other one messing with him which is a good sign for their future relations!

Morgan has begun to "cruise" along the edge of things, especially the couch and especially when in pursuit of his beloved Binky. Here is a close-up of his great ears and a little video of his new skill.

On Wednesday night Cody and I got two rare treats: a night out on the town together and free tickets to go see a show on Broadway. A member of our ward works for the show "How the Grinch Stole Christmas The Musical" and he gave out lots of preview tickets to the whole ward. We saw lots of our friends there that night and were lucky enough to snag one of the few young women to be a babysitter for us. We had a great time grabbing something to eat, seeing the show and pretending we were on a fancy date! The show was fantastic and the Grinch is AMAZING! He has a show stopping number that was a real joy to watch. The costumes and set pieces were really fun to watch as well. It is definitely a family type show but it put us in the holiday spirit and we were grateful to have seen it.
