Christmas morning started out slow and peaceful. Morgan and Cody got up first and we waited for the girls to wake up. Hazel and Pepper woke up and we started on our stockings, while Truly continued to sleep.
Santa delivered the Harry Potter Legos as requested.
Hazel's bed-head never disappoints.
Truly finally woke up and we started in on the main event.
The girls were happy to get homemade pillows from Auntie Jill, just like Morgan's pillow.
Gramma Goodier teamed up with Santa to get Morgan the best Harry Potter wand. He began casting spells right away.
Dapper Dan.
The avid reader lost all focus once he opened the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books from Grandma Adams.
Truly enjoying some breakfast while the rest of us enjoyed our presents.
Everyone loved their robes from Gramma G.
The aftermath.
I decided this year to set aside my dream of making crepes our Christmas morning tradition, and instead, Cody made snowman pancakes and the kids got to decorate them. Since we set out whip cream, candy, sprinkles and other goodies, the pancakes were much better received. Crazy kids!
Hazel had already gotten into her new makeup kit. Kind of looks like she's been in a fight. Still can't convince her the lip gloss does not belong on her eyes or cheeks!
After a quiet afternoon of playing with new toys and relaxing while little ones napped, we invited Bekah, Gary and family to come over for pizza and a movie. We made a bunch of homemade pizzas while the kids played, and then watched our new movie, Maleficent, while eating popcorn.
All 10 kids accounted for and most of them are focused on the movie.
Always glad we bought the extra wide chair!
A very kind and patient, Gary helping Hazel and Emma watch the movie in comfort.
"This one joined our celebration as well, when she wasn't napping. I think she was happy about the binkies, sippy cups, and bumper pad she got from Santa." A successful baby's first Christmas!
Here are videos of Hazel showing off her sweet dance moves to Morgan's new boom box and cds:
We are a happy little family who live in the Akron, OH area. Cody works for the fabulous Smucker's Company. Our favorite little man Morgan is five and loving life. Our little lady Pepper is almost three and a bundle of girly joy! We welcomed, Hazel to our family and couldn't be more in love with her.
