Room Projects Begun

Since, Cody had the entire week off, we decided to use the time together to get lots of projects done around the house. We spent Monday painting the girls' room. We had been planning this project for quite awhile and were excited to finally get it done. We painted three walls a light purple and one wall a darker purple shade.

Cody did a great job making a fort for the kids in the middle of the room and protecting our furniture.
Thankfully, our friend, Lesli Smith, took the 3 older kids for most of the morning so we could paint while Truly napped. But later on we let Morgan and Pepper help out a little.

Because the room smelled like paint fumes and the walls needed to finish drying, Cody set up the tent in the playroom. He read to the kids and they got to play in there. Then I put Hazel to bed in Morgan's room and we put the older two to bed in the tent while we finished up some final touches on the paint. Later, Cody went and slept with them the rest of the night. Such a great daddy!
Morgan's new bed frame. It is a full size bed from Ikea.
Hazel taking quite well to her new, big-girl bed.
It's hard work waking up from a nap.
According to Pepper, when Morgan moved into his new big boy bed everyone wanted to sleep in it.
Besides, painting the girls room, we also moved Morgan's twin bed into the girls' room for Hazel. Set up Morgan's new full size bed and rearranged his room. We moved the crib into Truly's room and transitioned her from bassinet and swaddling to the crib and being unswaddled. It was a big week of changes and I was very nervous about the whole thing. But with Cody's help and support, we made it through.
