Road Trip Back East

We left super early on Tuesday morning, July 21st from Katie's house and drove to Riverton, Wyoming to visit with Cousin Robin and family for the day and night.
Hard not to take lots of pictures of peacefully sleeping babies with their cute little toes crossed.
It was like heaven being back with the Valdez family and letting the kids run loose.

Another beautiful home and view.
"There may not be much else here in Central Wyoming, but these great people are here and boy, do we love them! Thanks for hosting us for a night, Robin. We love you guys!"

"On the road again...and again...and again. At least this time we are almost headed east!"
"Cousins are the best. Especially, when they give you makeovers and put on pretend weddings with stuffed animals!"

This girl can relax anywhere!

My view from the back of the bus.

I swear we were happy to be out of the car and enjoying a picnic lunch somewhere in Nebraska. Not that Pepper's face would prove that.

Some pictures Ali took while we were visiting. Love those cousins!

"Only happy picture from our first day of driving home. Central Wyoming to Central Iowa took us from 4am till 8:30pm. It was a LONG day and everyone (mainly me) fell apart towards the end. But the scenery was majestic and there were moments like this to keep you going."
"After 16 hours in the van, everyone was a bit stir crazy. Thankfully, the baby and Hazel (even after pepper gave her a fat lip jumping off the bed) went to sleep immediately. These two would not stop messing with each other and fighting over covers. Argh! Of course, I find them at 4am snuggling on the same pillow and sharing the blanket! Sigh."
We finally got home around dinnertime on Thursday, the 23rd. Oh, happy day! So grateful we were able to make all those long trips with no accidents or major mishaps.

Here's a bonus video of the stuffed animal wedding:
