Vernal Day 1: Dinosaurs

We lucked out with another great hotel room in Vernal, thank you very much Marriott! We had two bedrooms and a full kitchen and living room area. There was lots of room for everyone to sleep comfortably and stretch out. We spent our first day visiting the sites and seeing as much of Cody's mom's family as we could. It was a great day.

Snuck out of my room with Truly before she woke up and got into bed with these two snuggle-bugs. Yay for hotel living.
You can always count on lots of little treasures and animals to play with at Great-Grandma Jean's house.

When visiting Vernal a visit to the Field House dinosaur museum is always a must do activity.

These kids are a mess but they definitely make me smile!

My favorite dinosaur statues.

After the pow-wow was a bust, we drowned our sorrows in some delicious Cafe Rio.
"Stopped by the Utah Field House of Natural History State Park Museum to say hello to the dinosaurs. It's a pretty small museum but always a good time."
"Cody said 'act like a dinosaur.' Truly and I clearly did not hear him but I'm sure glad the others did."
"Headed out to see the Northern Ute Pow-Wow but just missed the princess dance. We did manage to find our princesses (and prince) some hand-made jewelry and shaved ice. We hope to catch some dancing on our way out of town tomorrow."

Got to keep an eye on this one at bar-b-ques or she would have a dinner of soda and chips...actually that's probably all she ate even with me watching!

These two are the cutest great-grandparents ever!
"Had a fun dinner/mini-family reunion with Cody's maternal grandmother and family. These are the only ones I could round up for a last minute impromptu picture. They are not 'picture' people but they sure are fabulous people!"
